Making big 808's like the ones you hear in your favorite songs isn't as hard as you think. In this video I'm going to show you a few tips and tricks that have really helped step up my 808 game.

An 808 is just a term describing a subby kick that has a long enough of a decay to hear an actual pitch or tone.

I like to think of 808's as 4 distinct sections:

​

1.) Click or attack sound - usually high pitched, like click or hi hat etc

​

2.) Body - The actual "kick" tone. 

​

3.) Sub - The low, sub range sine wave (sometimes a square)

​

4.) High Frequency Magic - This is where and how the 808 will pop out of your mix and sound huge!
